CONGAREE MOBILE HOME VILLAGE RENT CREDIT PROGRAM
We have a very unique rent credit program exclusively through Congaree Mobile Home Village. It is a unique path to home ownership. When you rent a mobile home from us in one of our communities, residents can earn reward credits that can be applied towards the future purchase of that home or any available home in the community.
If the resident over the course of the lease term remains in good standing order they will receive credits for paying the rent on time and taking care of the property, which will be applied towards the purchase of the home. When the resident has enough credits to purchase their home you will go from renting to home ownership.
Credits are equal to 75% of the homes monthly on time rent payment minus the lot rent. In order to receive the credits the resident must make the rent payment on time each month. Rent credits have no cash value and can only be redeemed to purchase a home.
Application: Every member of the house hold that is 18 years or older must complete an application and are required to pay a $25.00 application fee for a background and credit check. The application must be completely filled out; any incomplete applications cannot be processed
Income: This is a rent credit program not a credit dependent program. Criminal history and income qualifications are the largest single factors that determine if you are eligible for the program. All stated income on the application will be verified, proof of income will be verified by income documents. In order to qualify for the program, future resident's gross monthly household income must be equal to or greater than 3 times the monthly lot and home rent combined.
